BREAKING: Still Year Of Blog

It took me a few months OR a few decades, depending on how you measure, but I can’t ignore a good manifesto. Welcome to the first-ever post on Roblem Solving, my first-ever personal weblog, or “browser newsletter” as nobody is calling it. Big shout to Garrett Miller for the dazzling theme, as well as for capturing my essence (eyebrows and devices) in the logo.

I started a few initial drafts here about who I am and what I’ve done, but we’re all just reading our friends’ blogs, right?? If you’re here, you know the deal. Besides, lately, as I’ve been in the fortunate position of writing more bios for talks and such, my professional ouevre has started to feel less like “a career” than several careers stuffed messily into a trenchcoat. Let’s unpack what that means together, as the Year of the Blog rolls on!

For now, I’ve made you a welcome gift that feels appropriate to TYOTB: A crossword. Some excellent constructors have been sharing blog puzzles for years now, and I’ve had the bug for a while myself. This one is nothing too fancy, a snack really, albeit a snack with some clues I love. Bon appetit!
